Worldly Woes for Christian Women

This post won't be a very popular one, and that is ok; the truth usually is not that popular...
After attending my church's "All In " women's conference  in April, I have repeatedly been brought back to Isaiah chapter 3. Mary Kassian spoke on a segment at the conference entitled Sending out an S.O.S. In which she discussed how applicable this specific chapter and situation is to today's society. What I am discussing here is a mixture of her lecture, and my own understanding of the information. Specifically I want to touch on her portion entitled the " Woes for Women".  We are facing these very woes addressed in Isaiah today, and God is warning us what happens when we don't head His S.O.S for us.
Ladies I feel now more than ever, we are at war for our womanhood. Not the "girl power" " I am alpha woman" garbage we are fed via media, and the world trends, but the true role of woman as God designed us. Female and male roles are very individual and specific -this doesn't mean  equal and does not mean lesser then. They must remain separate in order to maintain God's design of balance in life, both at home and in the world, comes from both man and woman staying on their sides of the scale. Stop competing with men! There is no crossover! They can't be us as we were designed and WE can't be them! This is a team, and unit, not a competition as the society today lies and tell us it is.

The world tells us the "traditional role of woman" is "offensive, oppressive, and wrong" I am here to tell you I tried that other route..the "girl power/ feminist" independent woman one...and, as with anything, living outside of God's design,  it comes with serious consequences when you throw life off balance.
The family unit is God's design, and naturally a field Satan loves to attack and destroy, and being that so much begins at the root of us, our family, it is one of Satan's favorite places to try and rock the order.  I don't know why God put this on my heart to share, but perhaps this is an S.O.S. for one of you who need to hear it. God is calling you, you are NEVER too far gone.

Now let's look at the woes from Isaiah that the women were experiencing and how they parallel in our world today decades later.....

"WOES FOR WOMEN" (outlined by Mary Kassian:)
1. False Ideology: Your guides mislead you.
today: the women's movement / feminism everything these platforms preach aim to dismantle God's design and to emasculate men.
2. "Girl Power" Ideology : 3:12- it violates who God made us to be
it creates friction in the household, man and woman are balanced partners each role important to the other if both are doing the same then important functions get lost or dropped. Man is head of household. Not to master over a wife like a slave or keeper, but to guide the HOUSEHOLD.
we are losing our men: when we fulfill their roles they have no purpose
we forfeit our uniqueness as women. Men were not designed to be us because they cannot be us! Just like we were not designed to be them
3. Arrogance: 3:16- the world celebrates it as "power"
we as Christians are to humble ourselves and give God the glory. We live in a me, me , me world were ego is king, not God.
4. Sexual Forwardness: in our society sexual forwardness is celebrated as individuality and means power.
Ads, trending clothing, mainstream music, movies etc everything is provocative. We are told if we do not show our bodies we are ashamed of it, more and more skin is shown, women are encouraged to pursue and chase after men, the world says sexuality is to be celebrated.
God's word is clear on lust, on modesty both in our dress and actions , and not because the woman's body is shameful but because it is a treasure. The world cheapens what God has made us to be, and it is a gift to be unwrapped by our husbands not thrown about as if it is ordinary.
5. Obsession: with image 5:18
The world is obsessed with the image of power, beauty, and wealth. Social media makes this  so easy to fall victim to. We are worried about keeping up with the Jones', and focus on the acquisition of material things while neglecting our spiritual virtues.
6. Insolence- 5:9 denying God's glory
The modern woman movements say look at ME, look what I did! We were meant to bring glory to God, and to the story of Jesus. Our lives as Christians are not about US they are about what HE has done for us.

Isaiah warns if we do not obey and follow in God's command there are consequences; individually, within our families, economically, and globaly... now tell me again how "unimportant" this traditional woman is?! ...the role that can bring down the WORLD!

Ladies, we live in a world full of bondage, shame, grief, identity issues, discontentment, loneliness,  and broken families .ALL things NOT of God.  Society strips our men of their masculinity. We diminish our men, yet we live in a world desperate for their masculinity and affirmation. .... There is a saying: " as go the women, goes the nation".... look back, look at the flow of women leaving their designed roles and trying to be men, instead of being uniquely woman (and no I am not saying go grab an apron don't work etc NOT what I am saying) and look at the change in our homes, nations, and world.

It is time to tell Satan to take a seat, and take back our TRUE GODLY  GIRL POWER, the power GOD molded for us,  to complete us, and to balance out HIS grand design. Now more than ever it is time to EMBRACE and celebrate true Godly womanhood .

He has sent His warnings, don't be the Titanic and ignore them. We all know how that ends.

Fail Proof Slime

While summer time means endless days of water, and outside fun...we do (yes even in Texas) have our rainy summer afternoons, or (especially in Texas) have some days just too hot to be outside...and as any mom knows, those days can drive ya crazy fast! We found this awesome slime recipe, and it kept the girls thoroughly entertained. Here is the quick and easy " how to", and at the bottom I provided a list of the pros and cons I found with it. This was also a great activity to work on measuring, counting, coloring mixing, following steps, and then we used the slime to make letters and numbers. Fun and educational is always a plus during the summer. Between steps 3 and 4 you can also add in glitter, or essential oils to take your slime up a notch. Lavender would be an awesome oil to incorporate for a nice soothing, calming addition to this sensory activity. Ingredients: 3 (4oz) Bottles of liquid glue ( we went with Elmer's glue but I would t
